WALT: Make our own Gif.

 

My writing group had to make our own gifs. A gif is when a you crate a moving picture. What we had to do was that we had to make a new google drawing from drive and then add some christmas pictures to it. When I was creating my gif it felt like I was creating a new animation. Creating a gif is similar to creating a animation.

This week my maths group has been learning about Fractions. What my whole maths group did was that we had to fill in some answers to the quistions. On the top of this writting there is a google drawing with answers and quistions in but on top of that there is a screen shot of my knowledge of how I got my answers.

Statistics

WALT: Study informations (data), collect it, summarise and present it.


My maths class has been doing statistics. What we had to do first was make a new goole form sheet from our google drive, we also needed other diffrent type of people to vote what their favourite fruit was. This whole task is about getting more imformation and ideas about stuff and peoples.

The most favourite fruit was mango. Orange and apple came out of a tie. The last favoured fruit was banana.

Year 6 camp

               My Writing recount.
WALT: summarise a week long experiance into a recount.

Have you ever been stuck in bed but wanted to go on a camp? On the 17th of november the year 6 students from pt england school went on a camp.

Year 6 students from pt england school went on a special camp. While they went off to camp I had to stay home. The reason why I had to stay home cause I was sick, so then my mum had  taken me to the doctors. When we went to the doctors, the doctors said that I had a fever.

On the way back home I was thinking of what would the year 6 campers  be doing at the moment. Once we got home I went straight to bed to have a nap. Later that day I felt hungry so I went to the kitchen and fetched me some lunch. Before I ate my lunch I had to take a special medication.

Once I woke up I stayed in bed for a while. When my mum walked past  she told us to get ready for breakfast. After having breakfast I started to read some. The book that I readed was Geronimo stilton .

On the day that the year 6 students came back from camp I was really happy, It was so exciting to hear all the good news from camp. I hope you liked my writing recount.

The meaning of adaption:

What I think of adaptaion: 

The meanning of adaptions is what a animal does. Like for example a polar bear: Polar bears a strong swimmers : they swim across bays or wide leads without hesitaion.

Visiting San Diego Zoo

WALT: think about my purpose and reader by planning my recount.

All sort of zoo’s have different type of animals but San Diego Zoo has interesting animals, they have artic penguins, rhinoceros, seals, and many types of animals. This week our teacher told us that we were going to explore a zoo. What our teacher really meant was that we were going to go on a website. Can you imagine what will it be like to visit a zoo but really go on a zoo tour, on your chromebook, and on the internet.

This morning Mr Goodwin( teacher ) told room 6 that there was going to be a room 6 fear factor happening today. He had told us that there would be only about four people to pick for the contest, he said that there would be two girls and two boys. The two girls and the two boys were Inez, Rima, Christian and Hosea. Once I saw the reactions of the kids who got picked I felt horrible.

Today we had been watching a video on youtube it was called fear factor. After watching fear factor I felt disgusted, there were two people on fear factor that had to be eating bugs, worms and rat hair chip. But know it was our time to do room 6s fear factor, four peoples gto chosen to do the challenge they got to eat stuff from the creek, they got creek water and frog eggs.

This week we have been learning all about Habitat - study. The reason why beacuse for our topic this term is survivors. Me and my group has been learning about the desert. Their are so many cool things about the desert animals, insects, plants and surfaces.

We had to use a fraction wall to help us solve our work, as you can see up the top there is my work that I have been given from the teacher to solve it I also used the fraction wall to solve it. From this task I have learnt that in equivalent fractions you have to multiply a number to the denominator and the numerator.

This task asked us to find out all about skiing and what I found about skiing is about what gear they wear and use and how much they need to pay in for the skiinyg trip. If you go on a ski trip you would need alot of money to get in beacuse for the adults they will charge them to pay for the mountains if you whant to skii down the hill.

This week we have been learning about Fraction facts. On the side as you can see there are my number promblem that I have been working out to find the answers, for example: 2/7 of 21 = something.If you get a promblem like this then you should solve it like this so first you have to find out 1/7 of 21 =
to find it out you should do 7 x -------- = 21. 7x 3 = 21 so that means 1/7 of 21 = 3 and then you do another 1/7 of 21 = 3 then 3 + 3 = 6 so 2/7 of 21 = 6. I hope you enjoy my blog post.

This week in maths club we have been looking at how to use decimal numbers using tenths.
What we have done to solve this number promblem we used fraction decimal materials to help us solve the answer.

Bean bags to hire for 3pt a whole day

WALT: pursued the reader to agree with our message.

                      

Bean bags are cozy to sit on.

During class time the smooth comfortable bean bags are available for hire to sit on. Instead of sitting on the floor or on the uncombable bendy hard  chair, you will be able to sit on the bean bag to do your work.

The bean bags are filled with flexible beans and covered in a rubber skin. They can be moulded into the shape of your choice. You can choose to sit on the bean bag, or use it to lean back on.

The bean bags come in two desperate colours. A blue one light as the colour in the sky, and a green one as dark like the fresh long grass. It’s your choice to pick which one you want to feel enjoyable on.

The price is 3pt. You pay once at the beginning of the day and then you can use the beanbag for the rest of the day to feel happy on with your work.

Remember for 3pt you can sit above the beanbag during class lessons all day.

For this task we our teacher wrote us a pice of writting what we had to do is to recraft that writting into something intresting. I used thesaurus to get more exciting words to make it intresting instead of sad and boring words.

Tapa Photo Album

For this task I have learnt about tapa cloths. Tapa cloths are made in the islands of the pacifc Ocean, Tongan, Samoa, and fiji. But as far afield as Nuie, Cookisland, Futuna, Solomon island, Java, New zealand and many more. What we had to do for the task is that we had to read the jounal first.

This week we have been learning about addition and subtraction. We also had to do two stragety for both promblem. One of the stragey was tidy numbers and the other one was place value.

Equalising Fractions

WALT: Identify and compare fractions

This week we have been learning about fractions and as you can see that in this equation there are hard ones. The way I solved this is that for example 3/4 = 10/4 the reason why it is 10 beacuse all you do you just do 4 x 10 = 40 and for one more example hmmmmmmmm lets try doing this one if you get this answer can you please a comment( 8/9 = /4 what is the top number for this?)
