Divisons with remainders

WALT: solve division problems with remainders using our knowledge of multiplication facts to help us.

1. 7 divided by 48 = 6 r 6 5. 5 divided by 24 = 4 r 4
7 x 6 = 42 + 6 = 48 4 x 5 = 20 + 4 = 24

2. 3 divided by 20 = 6 r 2  6. 4 divided by 37 = 9 r 1
6 x 3 = 18 + 2 = 20 9 x 4 = 36 + 1 = 37


3. 7 divided by 22 = 3 r 1 7. 9 divided by 44 = 4 r 8
3 x 7 = 21 + 1 = 22 4 x 9 = 36 + 8 = 44

4. 4 divided by 14 = 3 r 2 8. 2 divided by 19 = 9 r 1
3 x 4 = 12 + 2 = 14 9 x 2 = 18 + 1 = 19
