WALT: Participate in a group discussion by actively listening and speaking
This week we are learning about talking points and trying to participate in a group discussion by actively listening and speaking. What we had to do on the first step was that our whole class had to watch a video clip as a class that is linked to our reading page. Our teacher noted some of the steps that came out of the video and gave it to us to try and discuss with our group the answers to the questions inside our presentation there are 4 points in the talking points and here they are - 1. Focus Fully, 2. Avoid interrupting, 3. Avoid seeming judegemental, 4. show interest.

4 learning Evidence
WALT - Summarise information in a text
Hey blog viewers today you are going to see some information about four different texts that I have read about. The four texts are called "What now for the Rena?", "The class newspaper", "Great Barrier Reef", and "Oil spill". These different texts have questions to it and I answerd those questions in a google slide and it is on top of this description. What this task asked me to do was that it asked me to read each text plus the video and fill in the answers on each slides.

The case of the Broken window and the forbidden fruit
WALT: compare and contrast two stories.
This weeks reading task was about solving a crime. We are trying to learn about comparing two of the same story's together, what we did was very exciting. There is a Venn diagram on the 2 to last slide. The Venn diagram is all about the two same story's and what's the similarity of both of the story's and what happens in both of the stories. This task asked me to read the text careful and try and find the evidence from the text. My favourite thing about these books is how we have to solve out the crime.

Haircut Lament
WALT: Make inference from information provide in a text.

This week Mrs Iloa's reading group has been learning about inference. In our reading group we have done some reading and writing. What we have been reading and writing about is about a Haircut Lament. At the top of this description is a Haircut Lament, that I have made. If you can see there is a picture on your left. As you can see that this persons hair has been drawn on. The reason why it has been drawn on is because my teacher told us to see what this persons hair looked like.
